Terms & Conditions: Life Edition Studios

1. Agreement Overview

This is an agreement between Life Edition Studios ("we" or "us"), a professional editing service, and you, the Customer ("you"). By using our services, you agree to follow these terms. If you don't agree, you'll need to discuss or stop using our services immediately, except for any payments you still owe us.

2. Service Plans

We offer different Service Plans, which you can find on our website. These plans may change, so please check them regularly.

3. Pausing Your Subscription

You can pause your subscription anytime. Just let us know through the labeled ‘manage subscription.’ We’ll track the remaining days and add them to your billing cycle when you resume.

4. Cancellation and Renewal

Customers have the right to pause their subscription, please tell us at least seven days before the next billing cycle to avoid being charged for the next period.

After canceling, your board and any data on it will be permanently deleted.

5. Revisions & Accepting the Work

You have three days to review our work and give feedback. If we don’t hear from you in that time, we’ll assume you’re happy with it.

  • Please NOTE: If you provide final approval on the revisions according to your editing plan, but later (within 3-5 days) wish to request additional changes, there will be charges based on the scope of the revision work. Please ensure you are fully satisfied with the edits before giving final approval to avoid extra costs.

6. Refunds

We’re flexible with cancellations, but you must give us a 7-day notice before the end of your billing cycle. No refunds will be given once we’ve started working on your project.

7. Ownership of Work

You own all the work we create for you once you’ve paid. We still keep the rights to any tools or templates we used to make it.

8. Materials You Own

Once you’ve paid in full, you own the final project. This doesn’t include our editing tools or any materials we had before working on your project.

9. Licenses for Third-Party Content

You’re responsible for getting any licenses needed for third-party content (like music, stock footage, or fonts) used in your project. We can help find this content, but you’ll need to handle the licensing.

10. Your Responsibilities

You agree to use our services legally and according to these terms. Any illegal or unauthorized use is not allowed.

11. What You Can’t Do

You can’t use our services to do anything illegal, fraudulent, or that violates someone else’s rights.

12. Customization Requests

While our plans cover a wide range of services, any additional customization outside the offered packages will be discussed and priced accordingly.

13. Changes to These Terms

We can change these terms at any time. If you keep using our service, it means you accept the new terms.

14. Pricing Changes

We might change our pricing, but we’ll protect your current price for one month after we notify you. We’ll let you know about any changes via email or Asana/Slack. The new price will start after the one-month period ends.

15. Data Storage

  • Data Retention: Client data, including all edited files and project materials, will be securely stored for 15 days following the expiration of your subscription plan.
  • Data Deletion: After this 15-day period, all data will be permanently deleted from our servers. If you need extended storage, please contact us to discuss additional options.

16. Limiting Our Liability

Our responsibility to you is limited as explained in this agreement. You agree to protect us from any claims that might come from using our service.

17. Showing Off Our Work

We may showcase the work we do for you in our portfolio unless you tell us not to [e.g., via an Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)]

18. Ending the Agreement

Either you or we can end this agreement as per the cancellation policy. We may also end it if you don’t pay or break the terms.
